Each year Giving USA Foundation, The Giving Institute, and the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy partner to produce the Giving USA report, which summarizes American’s generosity. The Giving USA 2025 reports on charitable giving in the year 2024.

• American's giving rate grew by 3.3% in 2024, with giving by individuals increasing by 8.2%.Below are the totals from the three previous years.
  • 2022 : $499.33 billion
  • 2023 : $557.16 billion
  • 2024 : $592.50 billion
